Musica Music and Wellbeing CIC award a total of one award per month in each territory we operate in. At present, we currently work in the following areas: Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire, Bristol and Surrounds, West Sussex and Hampshire.
We know there are many care homes who deserve recognition. These awards are for those care homes who in our eyes have gone above and beyond when it comes to raising the standard of person-centered care, and embedding music within their care, particularly whilst supporting those living with dementia. Nominated by our Musica Coordinators we are typically looking for homes that;
Our Home-from-Home Stories showcase inspiring care homes who have won Care Home of the Month awards.
Care homes are nominated on a monthly basis by our Musica Coordinators and then judged by the Musica Head Office team. The team evaluate individual strengths accordingly to the five criteria points mentioned above and choose one care home to win the award in each territory per month.
In a word, yes. Although we encourage our Musica Coordinators to nominate as many care homes as they wish, if your care home is performing better than others, it will be consistently rewarded.
At Musica we believe it is important to celebrate achievements amongst the care sector and to promote the positive things you do. This is why we encourage as much celebration as possible. Care Homes of the Month winners will receive the following:
We take the opportunity to celebrate you as many times as possible. Firstly, when we make the initial announcement and secondly when you are presented with your framed certificate. We also encourage winners to share the good news themselves, so each Care Home will receive a social media winner pack to get them started.
The coordinator is responsible for the running of Musica Music and Wellbeing CIC in their territory (typically counties). This includes facilitating Musica services in care homes and hospitals, as well as managing freelance musicians in the area.
